Hassan Malek is a young Egyptian actor who has been interested in acting since he was a child.
He began taking acting classes at a young age to improve his skills and then started appearing in various TV commercials and large campaigns, which led to his first foray into a TV drama as an actor in LE'BET EL NESYAN in 2020, in which he delivered an impressive performance opposite Dina El-Sherbiny, presenting the difficulties diabetic patients face.
In the same year, Malek took part in VIU's thriller drama series WADI EL JINN along with a number of young up-and-coming Arab stars, playing the role of a twin brother with an intuition that allows him to sense the struggles his sister is undergoing in a camping trip with a group of friends and save them from danger.
He also took part in ELLA ANA, starring opposite Jamila Awad in the story titled ‘LAZEM A'EESH’ and opposite Dorra in another story titled ‘AWEL EL SATR.’
Also, in 2021, he took part in KHALLI BALAK MIN ZIZI, where his simple yet sophisticated performance caught the attention of audiences and critics alike, playing the role of Serag — a socially intelligent university student who becomes friends with his professor, to whom he extends a helping hand to sort out the latter's personal and social issues. The drama series aired in Ramadan 2021 and achieved major success.
At the end of 2021, Malek starred in Shahid’s original series BIMBO opposite Ahmed Malek, Huda El-Mufti, and Wegz. In the series — directed by Amr Salama and Omar Rushdi — Malek played the role of Shady, a pro gamer and a manipulative brother.
As for 2022, Malek starred in WATCH IT’s drama series ETEZAN along with Hagar El-Sarrag and Rakeen Saad. The show was directed by Shadi Abdel Salam and written by Sayed Omar.
During the 2023 Ramadan season, Malek starred in Mai Mamdouh’s TV series RASHEED. The show was written by Wissam Sabry and starred Riham Abdel Ghafour, Mohamed Mamdouh, and Sayed Ragab.
In the same year, he also made his feature film acting debut in Yasser Samy’s EL MATAREED opposite Ahmed Hatem, Eyad Nassar, and Tara Emad.
Most recently, Hassan’s latest film AL SHANAB — which features Laila Eloui, Lebleba, Sawsan Badr, and Heidy Karam — enjoyed a stellar world premiere at the sixth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival. The film is yet to be released across Egyptian cinemas.
He also made a memorable guest appearance as Al Hussein Hassan El Sabah opposite Karim Abdel Aziz in Peter Mimi’s historical epic AL HASHASHEEN in the Ramadan 2024 season.
