Rising Egyptian actress Gehad Hossam El Din has proven in her numerous films and TV series that she is undeniably a prolific actress with talent that transcends boundaries, as evident in her collaboration with an array of directors who are currently making waves in the entertainment scene, including Hani Khalifa, Hadi El Bagoury, Amr Salama, Nadine Khan, and Mariam Abu Ouf.
Gehad caught the audience's attention with her role in the second season of the wildly successful TV series WHY NOT?!, where she delivered a standout performance as she shared the screen with one of the most recognized, admired, and sought-after Arab actresses, Menna Shalaby.
Continuing to shine more and more in every role she took afterward, she went on to make numerous outstanding appearances in several blockbusters, including SHAMAREEKH, and FARQ KHIBRAH.
She also took part in the French-Egyptian film THE GOAT by the Italian director Ilaria Borreli. Produced by Dominique Pinault and Islam El-Dakhakhny, the film world premiered at the El Gouna Film Festival, won numerous awards, and brought together a stellar cast, including Mira Sorvino, John Savage, and Amr Saad.
In parallel to her cinematic appearances, she also set the small screens ablaze with her roles in several hit series, like MYSTERY BOX, ROOM 207, HIKAYAT GROUP AL EILA, BEIN EL SOTOUR, and ELA AL TALAQ.
She also took on a jaw-dropping role in Shahid’s original series SAFAH EL GIZA, in which she played the role of a cold-hearted mother who relentlessly kills her husband in front of her child, prompting him to one day become a serial killer.
Television audiences also fell in love with her during her standout appearances in the two 2024 Ramadan season hit shows BEDOUN SABQ INZAR and TARIQ EGBARY.
Lately, she starred in Khaled Mansour’s film SEEKING HAVEN FOR MR. RAMBO, which world premiered to astounding success at the Venice International Film Festival and screened in cinemas to a wide audience and critical acclaim.
She was also featured in the Ramadan series ZOLM EL MASTABA, directed by Hani Khalifa, written by Ahmed Fawzi Saleh, and starring Riham Abdel Ghafour, Fathy Abdel Wahab, and Eyad Nassar.
In terms of Gehad’s future projects, she is currently awaiting the release of several films, including Ahmed Abdullah El Sayed’s crime thriller BERLIN, starring Menna Shalaby, and Yosra El Lozy; HAPPY BIRTHDAY, featuring A-list stars Nelly Karim, Sherif Salama, and Hanan Motawie, all under the helm and penmanship of Sarah Gohar, and SHAKWA, produced by Red Star Films.
She also has an upcoming series, Hussam Hamed’s highly anticipated WATCH IT original production KARETHA TABE’EYA, which stars Mohamed Sallam and Kamal Abu Raya.
Gehad’s talent doesn’t stop at acting; she is also a dance and movement enthusiast and singer who is well-known for the opening credits theme song for the Shahid series BATN EL HOUT along with three other songs throughout the show.
