Born Mohamed Ibrahim in Faisal, Giza, and raised in Maadi, Cairo, the rapper known as FLEX grew up heavily inspired by American hip-hop and artists like Eminem. Seeking to capture the raw, unpolished grit of Cairo’s street culture, he joined the influential Maadi Town Mafia collective in 2020. This move placed him at the heart of Egypt’s evolving rap scene, where he adapted his distinctive raspy vocal delivery and aggressive flow to high-energy sub-bass drill beats.

FLEX made a major impact on North African hip-hop through a succession of acclaimed releases. His debut 2021 EP, SHAYATEEN, established him as a key architect of Egyptian drill, while his breakthrough 2022 EP, MESMA3EEN, catapulted him to regional stardom behind the viral single "LOGAN." In September 2025, he released his debut 10-track studio album, WA7ED, showcasing his maturation as a songwriter. Alongside standalone hits like "SEBNY ALA DOOL" and features on major cyphers, his music also crossed over into cinema with soundtrack contributions to the film NOGOOM EL SAHEL.

Beyond his music career, FLEX has successfully expanded into screen acting, leveraging his natural connection to Egyptian youth culture. He made his dramatic acting debut in the 2025 Ramadan drama series WELAD EL SHAMS alongside Ahmed Malek and Taha El Desouky, followed by his feature film debut in NOGOOM EL SAHEL, proving his ability to hold his own on the cinematic screen while simultaneously soundtracking the project.
