Biography
Ahmed Abdelhamid is an up-and-coming Egyptian actor born in 1993, he studied at the Faculty of Mass Communication, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), and took acting classes and workshops in both Egypt and the USA.
Ahmed made his acting debut as Awad in Mohamed Diab’s critically acclaimed film CLASH (ESHTEBAK) in 2016, he then starred in the thriller film THE NILE HILTON INCIDENT (HADETH AL-NILE HILTON) in 2017 before moving on to star in several TV series including HADHA ALMASA', season 2 of AL GAMA'A, TAYE'E, AL PRINCE, EL QAHERA: KABUL, and NASL EL AGHRAB.
More recently, Abdelhamid starred in Marwan Hamed’s KIRA & EL GIN — which is the second-highest-grossing film in the history of Egyptian cinema — the award-winning Ramadan 2022 series JAZEERAT GHAMAM, the 2023 Ramadan series TAHT EL WESAYA opposite Mona Zaki, and the off-season series AL AWDA.
As for Ahmed’s latest, the star played the villainous Harby in Ahmed Shafik’s COBRA opposite Mohamed Emam and Magdy Kamel in the Ramadan 2024 season and starred in the Yango Play original comedy series DEEBO(off-season)
Abdelhamid is also reprising his role as a villain in Ahmad Alaa El-Dib’s upcoming action flick FERQET ELMAWT, and taking on the mantle of everyone’s favorite carnival knife thrower Sayed Seberto — previously played by the late Mostafa Metwally in the 1991 version of the film — in the modern remake of SHAMS EL-ZANATI, starring Mohamed Emam.
The young actor also wrapped filming on Omar El Mohandes’s dramedy SIKO SIKO opposite Essam Omar and Taha Dessouki, as well as Tarek Alarian’s NOGOOM EL SAHEL alongside Ahmed Dash and Kozbara, where he stepped into very different shoes portraying a dreamy, introverted young man interested in music.
Abdelhamid’s schedule is also packed for 2025, where he’s set to guest star in two films titled DAYY and SHAKWA, the latter produced by Red Star Productions, the star also joined Hani Khalifa’s Ramadan 2025 mini-series ZOLM EL MASTABA alongside an ensemble cast including Eyad Nassar, Fathy Abdel Wahab, and Riham Abdel Ghafour.
