Biography
Yosra El-Lozy is a multi-talented Egyptian actress, ballerina, pianist, and voice actor. She first embarked on her cinematic journey in 2004 with the renowned international director Youssef Chahine, starring in his film Alexandria...New York. Since then, she has emerged as the leading actress in numerous films helmed by esteemed directors.
Her filmography includes several renowned titles, including STOLEN KISSES (2008), IN NATURAL COLORS (2009), HELIOPOLIS (2010), and MICROPHONE (2011).
She started off her career when she was a high school student, working as a voice actor on several animated Disney films before expanding her skillset once she got into the AUC — where she pursued a bachelor of arts in political science and then supplemented it with a master's degree in human rights and development — appearing in a variety of musical roles at the university’s theater; most notably, SULEIMAN AL-HALABI, THE READER, GUYS AND DOLLS, and THE CONFUSED SULTAN.
Aside from her work in the fields of art and cinema, El-Lozy also has a track record for humanitarian work, consistently raising awareness about the risks of hearing impairment in children and the challenges they face in learning to speak at a young age, launching a campaign with the aim of providing treatment and support to thousands of children afflicted by the same condition.
In recognition of her remarkable artistic accomplishments and humanitarian efforts, she was eventually honored with the Al-Ahram Newspaper Award in 2017 in acknowledgment of her contributions to the world of drama and her commendable endeavors to provide hard-of-hearing children with the support and resources they need to thrive.
In the 2024 Ramadan drama season, Yosra El Lozy graced screens once again in the 15-episode TV series SELLET RAHM (Kinship Relationship)
