Widely celebrated as one of Türkiye’s most popular superstars, Tuba Büyüküstün has captured the hearts of millions in the Arab world, particularly since her portrayal of Filiz/Lamis in SANAWAT AL-DAYA'A, which not only quickly resonated with Arab audiences but also established her as an idol for countless young girls.

Throughout her prolific career, which began in 2003, Tuba Büyüküstün has earned numerous awards and made history as Türkiye’s first International Emmy nominee.

Having studied costume design and set decoration at Istanbul’s Mimar Sinan University, Tuba became a well-known face among audiences through modeling in commercial TV ads until director Aydin Bulut selected her to make her television series debut in 2003 with the last four episodes of SULTAN MAKAMI, broadcast on the Turkish Television Channel D.

Her natural talent and on-screen charisma quickly made her a favorite among directors, leading to her next role as Zarife on the period series THE ROSE AND THE THORN, directed by Çağan Irmak, which aired on Channel D in 2004.

This was followed by leading roles in several series, including SANAWAT AL-DAYA'A, AL ESHK AL ASWAD, ASI, and BAE’T EL WARD, which gained her immense recognition and wide fame across the Arab World.

She continued to star in successful productions such as BRAVE AND BEAUTIFUL and 20 MINUTES, the latter earning her a nomination for the 42nd International Emmy Award for Best Actress.

Büyüküstün has also appeared in films like MY FATHER AND MY SON, EXAM, ASK YOUR HEART, and RED ISTANBUL. Expanding her global presence, she brought Mara Branković (wife of Sultan Murad II, and stepmother of Mehmed II the Conqueror) to life in the Netflix docudrama RISE OF EMPIRES: OTTOMAN, before captivating audiences in another Netflix series, ANOTHER SELF.

Beloved by a devoted audience around the world for her powerful performances, the acclaimed actress has used her influence since 2014 to champion meaningful causes, serving as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and advocating for children’s rights worldwide.
