Biography
After graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Beirut, Nour started modeling in TV ads until she made her acting debut in 2000 opposite Egyptian superstar Ahmed El Sakka in the film SHORT W FANELAH W CAP (2000). The film was a massive success and Nour caught the eyes of the audience and filmmakers as well.
The following year, Nour starred in ASHAB WALA BUSINESS (2001) with Hani Salama, whom she reunited with two years later in the film IZZAY TEKHALI EL-BANAT TEHIBBAK (2003).
In 2004, Nour starred in OKAL alongside Egyptian actor Mohammed Saad and Kamla Abouzekri’s SANA OULA NASB with Ahmed Ezz. In the following year, Nour starred opposite Ahmed Ezz again in the 2005’s hit MALLAKI ISKANDARIYA that marked her first collaboration with director Sandra Nashaat before AL RAHINA (2006) where Nour played the role of a sociopathic villain.
Nour also made a great duo with Egyptian comedian Ahmed Helmy. She starred alongside Helmy in two films in 2006; MATAB SENA and ZARF TAREK. Nour’s acting credits also include many other successful titles, like 30 YEARS AGO (2016) and TISBAH ALA KHAIR (2017). Nour became a member of the Egyptian Syndicate of Artists headed by Egyptian actor Ashraf Zaki.
Her small-screen repertoire includes many TV hits, such as AL-AMEEL 1001 (2005) with Mostafa Shaban, DOMOA AL QAMAR (2008) with Riyad Al-Kholi and Rania Farid Shawky, seasons one and two of SARAYA ABDEEN (2014-2015) — which featured a star-studded cast from Egypt and the Arab world — and EL-EXCELLANCE (2014), where she reunited with Ahmed Ezz.
In 2018, she took part in the Ramadan hit series RAHIM with Yasser Galal, for which she received the Best Actress Award at the Arab Satellite Channels Festival.
In Ramadan 2020, Nour starred in the TV series EL PRINCE opposite Mohamed Ramadan. Written and directed by Mohamed Samy, the TV drama received massive success among audiences and critics alike. In the same year, she also starred in the TV drama GAMAL EL HAREEM by director Manal El-Seify alongside Khaled Selim.
In 2021, Nour reunited with Egyptian star Yasser Galal in the TV series DEL RAGEL (MAN'S SHADOW). She was also featured in the TV prank show KHAMAS NAGOUM (Five Stars), which brought together Ghada Adel, Mostafa Amar, Karim Fahmy, and Mohamed El-Sharnuby as TV show presenters for the first time.
In Ramadan 2022, Nour starred in the series RAGEEN YA HAWA alongside Egyptian star Khaled El-Nabaw under the direction of Mohamed Salama and based on a story by the late renowned writer Osama Anwar Okasha, featuring a screenplay adapted by Mohamed Soliman Abdel-Malek.
Furthermore, Nour joined the cast of seasons two and three of the TV series MAWDOO AAELY starring Maged El-Kedwany, Shereen Reda, Mohamed Shahin, Enass Kamel, and Rana Raeis. The TV series, which was directed by Ahmed El-Gendy, is now available to stream on Shahid VIP.
The Lebanese star also acted alongside Mohamed Henedy in NABIL EL GAMEEL PLASTIC SURGEON, which was directed by Khaled Marei.
She was also part of the Best Arab Film Award’s Jury at the 2022 Cairo International Film Festival.
As for her more recent work, in 2023, Nour was featured as a guest of honor in the seventh season of EL KEBEER AWI, which aired during the 2023 Ramadan season.
She also starred as Eman in Peter Mimi’s latest movie BEIT ELRUBY alongside Karim Abdel-Aziz, Karim Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz, and Tara Emad. The film was released earlier this summer in cinemas across the Arab world and went on to become the highest-grossing movie in the history of Egyptian cinema.
Nour also spearheaded Neutrogena’s latest Realms of Hydroboost Campaign and graced the cover of Sayidaty magazine’s July 2023 issue.
In the 2024 Ramadan race, Nour co-starred alongside Yasser Galal as the villainous character of Shawahy in Islam Khairy’s fantasy drama GAWDAR, which is based on one of the popular tales from A THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS.
