Biography
A young Egyptian actor, Nour El-Nabawy studied acting and theater at Santa Monica College and California State University, where he started acting in different plays.
Upon his return to Egypt, he joined different acting workshops until he was selected to join the cast of EL EKHTYAR 2 — which premiered during Ramadan 2021, was written by Hani Sarhan, and directed by Peter Mimi. The serial drama was headlined by Karim Abdel-Aziz, Ahmed Mekky, Eyad Nassar, Ingy El-Mokadem, and Asmaa Abu El-Yazeed.
El-Nabawy's remarkable performance as First Lieutenant Ahmed Shousha caught the attention of audiences and critics alike, eventually trending on Facebook and other social media platforms during its airing in Ramadan 2021.
Additionally, he co-starred with legendary actor Mahmoud Hemida in the social-drama series NA’EL ‘AM (Public Transportation) — a 30-episode family drama that revolves around the family of an employee working in the public transportation sector, with El-Nabawy staring as one of the employee’s sons. Directed by Adel Adeeb, the series features a wide array of stars, including Sawsan Badr, Dina, and Mirhan Hussein.
In 2022, Nour made his second successful Ramadan outing in RAGEEN YA HAWA alongside his father, the legendary actor Khaled El-Nabawy. The script was written by Mohamed Soliman Abdel-Malek, adapted from Osama Anwar Okasha’s script, and directed by Mohamed Salama. The role garnered him the Best Rising Actor Award at the first edition of the Cairo Drama Festival and the Dear Guest Public Voting Award for Best TV Rising Actor.
Then in 2023, he secured a role in 5 GAWLAT alongside Adam El-Sharkawy and Dalia Shawky, starred in the Ramadan 2023 drama ELAGHAR, which was directed by Yasser Samy and written by Melok Workshop, and appeared as a guest star in the epic military drama El KATEEBA 101 (BATTALION 101), opposite Asser Yassin and Amr Youssef.
Apart from acting, Nour El-Nabawy graced the cover of the October issue of Gossips magazine and was featured throughout the magazine, where he discussed life’s wonders, relationships and the sparks that ignite his soul.
He was also appointed by UNICEF as the ambassador of the Shabab Balad (The Country’s Youths) Initiative — an Egyptian version of the International Generation Unlimited Initiative that was first launched by the UN in the region last year.
Starting 2024 with a bang, Nour landed his first leading movie role in Raouf El-Sayed’s EL-HAREEFA, which has become one of the ten highest-grossing Egyptian films ever.
He then starred in the Ramadan 2024 drama EMBRATORYET MEEM, which features iconic actor Khaled El Nabawy. The series is based on a story written by Ihsan Abdel Quddous—one of Egypt’s most popular writers of all time—which was previously adapted into an audience-favorite classic film in 1972 that starred the legendary Faten Hamama and Ahmed Mazhar.
Nour's latest ventures include the WATCH IT original off-season series SIT SHOHOUR (SIX MONTHS), which premiered to widespread success and the eagerly awaited film EL HAREEFA 2, set to hit theaters soon.
