Ziad Bakri
Ziad Bakri is a Palestinian actor and director. He starred in SCREWDRIVER, which enjoyed a busy festival career and was nominated for Best Film at the Venice International Film Festival, Malmo Arab Film Festival, and El Gouna Film Festival. Ziad’s SCREWDRIVER won Best Film at the International Festival of Mediterranean Cinema in Montpellier (Cinemed) and the Bosphorus Film Festival. It also won Best First Work and Best Actor for Ziad's role at the Mediterranean Film Festival of Tetouan. For his role in the French-Greek film THE BLIND SUN, which screened at several prestigious international film festivals, Ziad won the Best Actor award at Fantasporto.
Moreover, Ziad is not only an actor but also a filmmaker. He wrote and directed the short film THE SALT FISHERMAN, which played at the Dubai International Film Festival (2011) and earned him a Best Director nomination. His most recent work is the Netflix film THE WEEKEND AWAY.
Hakeem Jomah
Hakeem Jomah is an actor, writer, and filmmaker. He is a medical doctor by education and an actor by passion. To pursue a career in filmmaking, he left the world of medicine. He is best known for starring in, writing, and producing the horror film MADAYEN, which was screened at 11 international film festivals and won 9 awards. DON'T GO TOO FAR, his short film, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner in 2018. Hakeem also starred in several TV shows such as RASHASH, KIDNAP, and MANHO WALADNA.
Most recently, he directed KAYAN, which was produced by Film Clinic and MBC Studios. KAYAN had its world premiere at the inaugural edition of the Red Sea International Festival in December 2021, and it went on to win 2 awards at the Saudi Film Festival. Hakeem is starring in the American TV series LAST LIGHT, on Shahid and Peacock.
