Biography
Burcu Biricik is a celebrated Turkish actress known for her emotional depth and remarkable versatility across television, film, and theater — the latter of which she got her start in, acting in several plays, including THE ONE WHO IS NOT HERE, THE VISIT OF THE OLD LADY, I CLOSE MY EYES, I DO MY DUTY, and SEVEN HUSBANDS OF HÜRMÜZ.
Her career, however, truly began to soar when she took on leading roles in a number of hit TV series and films. In 2013, she starred as Kurban in THE ROOM OF FAITH before appearing in the short THE DIARY OF THE EARTH.
From there, Biricik gained further recognition for her roles in TOO FAR TOO CLOSE, EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL WITH YOU, ÇİÇERO, and PEOPLE ARE DIVIDED.
Burcu's international breakthrough came in 2021 when she starred as Fatma Yılmaz in FATMA — a gripping crime thriller on Netflix. This role not only showcased her acting prowess but also earned her global attention for playing a woman driven by revenge. After that, she played Nalan İpekoğlu in the highly popular three-season drama THE GIRL IN THE WINDOW, which cemented her as one of the most sought-after actresses in Turkey.
Acknowledged far and wide for her artistry and the depth of her performances, Biricik has garnered several prestigious accolades and award nominations, including Best Actress nominations at the Pantene Golden Butterfly Awards and Seoul International Drama Awards for her role in CHRYSALIS. Additionally, she won the Kemal Sunal Culture and Art Award for her role in LIFE SONG.
On the music front, Biricik has contributed to the soundtracks of some of her works, including EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL WITH YOU, where she performed songs like IKI YABANCI and HER SEY SENİNLE GÜZEL, showcasing yet another layer of her artistic talent.
