Saba Mubarak is one of the very few Arab stars whose repertoire includes a large number of highly successful works both internationally and throughout the Arab world. Mubarak has received a number of awards including: The Special Jury Award at the Arab Theatre Festival, the Best Actress Award at the Middle East Now Festival in Italy, two-time Best Jordanian Actress in 2009 and 2010. Most recently, Mubarak won the Best Actress Award at the Silk Road International Film Festival for her role in The Guest: Aleppo-Istanbul that also won a staggering seven awards from international film festivals. Mubarak took part in the 2018 Ramadan race with her role in the hit TV series Tayea’, and competed in Ramadan 2019 with her TV series Obour.
Mubarak has wide experience as a jury member at international film festivals. She was selected as a jury member of the International Emmy Awards for two times, the last of which was last year, a jury member of the Feature and Short Competitions at the Malmo Arab Film Festival in Sweden, as well as a jury member at the 38th Cairo International Film Festival. In 2018, she joined as a jury member at the Short Film Competition in the 2nd El Gouna Film Festival. Marking a comeback to the Bedouin drama, Mubarak starred in a Bedouin TV series, Haris Al Jabal (The Mountain’s Guardian), which premiered on TV in Ramadan 2020.
