Youssef Omar is a young Egyptian actor who’s left quite an impression on audiences with his diverse roles. Starting out as young as 12 years old with smaller theater roles, Youssef eventually studied acting at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts as well as The Academy of Arts.

Before his breakthrough in the 2018 drama RAHIM alongside Yasser Galal and Nour, Youssef guest-starred in the series KHANAT EL YAK in 2016 and AGHLA MEN HAYATY in 2010.

In the following years, Youssef began taking on more serious roles, playing a prosecutor alongside Mai Ezz Eldin in 2020’s KHEET HAREER, the heart-throb Murad in the fourth season of NASIBI WA QESMETIK, and a rebellious teen in Sameh Abdel-Aziz’s Ramadan 2021 season drama HARB AHLEYA opposite Yousra.

Later that same year, Youssef got his chance to shine in the Shahid Original SETAT BEIT AL-MAADI (MAADI HOUSEWIVES), which garnered him widespread critical acclaim, with critics lauding his acting skills and screen presence and audiences enamored by his charm and charisma.

Soon after, he played the role of Yassin in the 2022 family drama EL EILA DEE and guest-starred as Rizk the mechanic in the Ramadan 2023 season military drama EL KATEEBA 101.

Youssef played reckless university youth Sherbiny in the critically acclaimed third season of Shahid’s original series LEH LAA?!, which starred Nelly Karim and was directed by Nadine Khan written by Mariam Naoum, and produced by The Producers Company.

Aside from that, this rising star recently showed off his talent by making his debut on the big screen in AWLAD HAREEM KAREEM opposite Mostafa Amar, Dalia El-Behery, Basma, and Ola Ghanem.

His newest film, Raouf El Sayed’s EL HAREEFA, was released this January in cinemas across Egypt and several Arab countries. The film stars Nour El Nabawy, Ahmed Ghozzi, Nour Ehab, and Khaled El Zahaby.
