Egyptian actor Tamer Nabil has carved out a remarkable career across film, television, and radio, distinguished by his versatility and ability to inhabit complex, emotionally layered characters. Since his breakthrough in Mohamed Yassin’s EL WA’AD (2008), Nabil has become a trusted collaborator for Egypt’s most prominent directors, including Marwan Hamed, Karim El Shennawy, and El Sadeer Massoud, delivering standout performances in projects that span historical epics, crime thrillers, and socially resonant dramas.
On the big screen, Nabil has delivered standout performances in some of Egypt’s most acclaimed films. He appeared in Marwan Hamed’s THE ORIGINALS (2017), written by Ahmed Mourad, which explored themes of surveillance and corporate ruthlessness. He reunited with Hamed in DIAMOND DUST (2018), portraying a sinister murderer, and later in KIRA & EL GIN (2022), Egypt’s highest-grossing film at the time, where he played Hend Sabry’s brother, a man scarred by British occupation.
His career soared to new heights in 2025 with three major films. In EL SETT, directed by Marwan Hamed, he portrayed the legendary composer Mohamed El Qasabgi in a powerful biographical drama. In Karim El Shennawy’s THE TALE OF DAYE’S FAMILY, which opened the Red Sea International Film Festival before screening at the Berlinale. That same year, he starred in COMPLAINT NO. 713317 by Yasser Shafiey, alongside Mahmoud Hemida and Sherine. The film premiered at the Cairo International Film Festival, winning the Best Script Award, and held full-house screenings at Rotterdam.
On television, Nabil first gained recognition with EL GAMA’AH (2010–2017), a landmark series that boldly retold the history of the Muslim Brotherhood. His talent shone in the Netflix Original crime-thriller ECHOES OF THE PAST with Asser Yassin, as well as in Shahid’s MUNAATAF KHATAR opposite Bassel Khaiat, and the platform’s original LEEH LAA?! 2 starring Menna Shalaby.
His performances in acclaimed series such as EL EKHTEYAR 2: REGAL EL ZEL, KHALI BALEK MIN ZIZI, QABEEL, SHAQAH 6, RASHEED, and MYSTERY BOX further cemented his reputation as an actor capable of portraying complex, layered characters that leave audiences both awed and eager for his next projects.
Most recently, in the 2025 Ramadan season, Nabil captivated audiences in the thriller MONTAHY EL SALAHEYA opposite Mohamed Farrag, tackling the devastating effects of online gambling addiction.
In the 2026 Ramadan season, he appeared in the comedy series HEYA KEMYA, starring alongside Diab and Mostafa Gharib, where he portrayed an emotionally layered ex-fiancé consumed by jealousy and obsession. In the same season, he starred in the crime social drama HEKAYET NARGES, featuring Riham Abdel Ghafour, directed by Sameh Alaa and written by Ammar Sabry, based on the true story of a woman faking pregnancy and kidnapping children.
