A young Egyptian actor who studied acting and theater at Santa Monica College and California State University, Northridge, in the US. He started acting in different plays during his studies at college.
Upon his return to Egypt, he joined different acting workshops until he was selected to join the cast of EL EKHTYAR 2 — which premiered during Ramadan 2021, written by Hani Sarhan, and directed by Peter Mimi. The serial drama was headlined by Kareem Abdel-Aziz, Ahmed Mekki, Eyad Nassar, Ingy El-Mokadem, and Asmaa Abu El-Yazeed.
Nour's remarkable performance as First-Lieutenant Ahmed Shousha caught the attention of audiences and critics alike, eventually trending on Facebook and other social media platforms during the drama's streaming in Ramadan 2021.
Apart from acting, Nour El-Nabawy was appointed by UNICEF as the ambassador of Shabab Balad (The Country's Youths) Initiative — an Egyptian version of the international Generation Unlimited Initiative that was first launched by the UN in the region last year.
His upcoming works include the film 5 GAWLAT alongside Adam El-Sharkawy and Dalia Shawky, and the TV drama WARA' AL TOOT (Berry Leaves), which stars Sherif Salama, Tharaa Goubail, Khaled Anwar, Asmaa Galal, directed by Hossam Ali, and written by Ebada Naguib.
WARA' AL TOOT follows a group of young people at an academy for Theatre Arts and highlights controversial topics, such as female genital mutilation, bullying, and sexual harassment.
Additionally, he co-starred with legendary actor Mahmoud Hemida in the social-drama series NA'EL 'AM (Public Transportation) — a 30-episode family drama that revolves around the family of an employee working in the public transportation sector, with El-Nabawy staring as one of the employee’s sons. Directed by Adel Adeeb, the series features a wide array of stars, including Sawsan Badr, Dina, and Mirhan Hussein.
NA'EL 'AM was written by Egyptian Arts Group's Workshop, under the supervision of scriptwriter Mohamed Ismail Amin and the series was aired on CBC channel on January 20th, 2022.
Nour's latest work in Ramadan 2022 marathon was the TV drama hit RAGEEN YA HAWA, which houses a star-studded cast that includes Khaled El Nabawy, the Lebanese actress Nour, Hana Shiha, Wafaa Amer, Anoushka, Ahmed Bedeir, and Salma Abou Deif, among others. Nour’s performance created a buzz on social media and on the streets which won him the hearts of the audiences and the recognition of the media throughout Ramadan which dubbed him the title of this year’s male “Rising Star”. Moreover, The role garnered him the Best Rising Actor Award at the first edition of the Cairo Drama Festival.
Nour also received the Dear Guest Public Voting Award for Best TV Rising Actor.
His upcoming work included the series ELAGHAR, which will be streaming this Ramadan. The show stars Amr Saad, Nahed El-Sebaei, and Dorra. He also nailed his first leading role in EL-HAREEFA, which will be released soon.
